Clisson Valley enjoys a remarkable delightful and unusual, natural location, trough which flow the rivers Sèvre Nantaise and its tributaries Maine and Moine. The beautiful villages along their green banks bear witness to the commercial and wine-producing prosperity of the 19th century. Canoeing is an excellent and peaceful way to discover these rivers as well as fishing.
The walking paths that run along the rivers offer the visitor a unique opportunity to benefit from these landscapes of farmland, crops and vineyards, inhabited by numerous birds, mammals and fishes. For more serious walkers, the “Sèvre and Maine” GR offers an itinerary of 300 kilometres along the banks of the two rivers.
