The shopping main street is "la rue des halles" leading you to the very historical economic centre of Clisson : "les Halles".It's an amazingly preserved wooden covered market erected in the XVth century by the last Duke of  Brittany, Anne de Bretagne's father on a former market place dating back yet from the Xth century.. It has been perpetuating the lively tradition of the market for five centuries under the oak and chestnut framework. Nowadays almost all the shops are all at a walking distance around this market.
